Yes, not for long though
The current system is good but sooner or later everyone starts to see the downsides

This is just not true. Sure GW has some ommisions in z-axis in some aspects of the game, but the engine is fully capable of supporting any z-axis function. Just think about it and you will realise there are many examples of z-axis working fine in the game.

Traps hitting people from underneath bridges. Warriors attacking people from 30 feet underneath them by standing under them on a bridge.
Nope... that's not true 3d at all Fay Vert. All z-axis in this game is done optically only. Thus it is a true 2.5d game. When the game actually checks to see where things are located, it only does so on the x and y axis.

Arrows do deal more damage when you are elevated vs your target

I really doubt you could add z axis movement without redrawing the maps and a complete rewrite of the AI.
Mostly computer AI detects a target and moves in a straight line until they are in range.
In the current game its very easy to take out targets in pve as they get trapped around corners and continue to fire to no effect.
Only the melee attacks are not fooled by this, close on the character and attack successfully.
Adding a z axis wouldn't prevent this so it would be a huge amount of work to set out which parts of the maps you can climb up, character animation for same.
New character animation and skills to allow swimming and water combat if you wanted that adding.
In fact its a complete waste of time untill computer AI becomes actually intelligent enough to know when its attacks are failing and use the terrain effectively.

The GW2 teaser goes underwater near the end so I dunno if that means you'll be able to swim or not? As for flying, hopefuly not, unless a possible means of transportation that allows you to get from A to B without having to put up with all the heat seeking red dots

Yes. Absolutely. That would make me MORE interested in GW2 than I currently am (of course, I'm more interested in what my 5 year old niece thinks of the current political climate than I am in GW2...) .

I always want new stuff. And I have already paid the game. And I won't mind paying more for more content. As long as it's new and content.
I would even pay up to 40€ just for a Xunlai Marketplace, and I bet many other people would too.

40 EUR? Hell no. I could get two good games for that price.

I never liked swimming in Sonic because I would always miss the moving air bubbles. Swimming and jumping doesn't interest me so hopefully most of it is optional and not too frequently required.
Female characters jumping with skirts...uh oh.

Yes. I would as to all the time I put into my account as long as they lighten up on us older folks.I would even play it if they put out a full version of the game for us to install and supply a server code. This game would be better if handled by the community.
I do like the x axis but not on GW on GW2 yes.
